Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: de Havilland Campus 

Hertfordshire Business School’s Centre for Academic Skills Enhancement is seeking proactive individuals, with the ability to create good working relationships and who are motivated, flexible and adaptable to workload and team requirements. 

Main duties and responsibilities

Technology Learning Assistants will support the provision of teaching, student support and administration at undergraduate and postgraduate level within the school. They will provide technology support to academic staff in the delivery of learning and teaching. They will support academics in the use of the Canvas virtual learning environment and other supported technology, as required. This may include technology aspects of assessment, group work, module feedback, which may occur in the classroom and online. 

Skill and experience required: 

You will have experience of digital and interactive educational resources and have experience of supporting learning and teaching or training and have the ability to maintain and develop knowledge and skills as required for the position. It will be advantageous if you have experience working with education providers and academics in supporting blended learning (or similar) materials. Good IT/digital skills including the use of MS Office and other technological L&T tools as well as the ability to work in a team and independently whilst communicating accurately and clearly are essential for this role. 

Qualifications required: 

You will be educated with a minimum of a degree (or equivalent qualification), or higher qualification or proven professional work experience at an appropriate level.
