ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fixed term contract until 30th November 2024
The Delivery Officers will set up and deliver engaging resources and materials for a series of SPF multiply interactive family learning workshops which engage parents and their children in learning numeracy. The workshops will be held in Swansea primary schools during the summer term 2024.
Applicants are invited to work on a project to improve adult numeracy. The project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Multiply, and consists of two main outcomes. The first outcome is to develop resources and deliver courses to parents who currently do not hold a Level 2 mathematics qualification but want to increase their numeracy skills in order to help their children and help their own progression. The second outcome will be to increase confidence of parents to enable them to take their first steps towards a formal Level 2 qualification. The Delivery officer will be responsible for organising, developing and delivering workshops based on Numeracy for Parents materials and ensure best practice in event organisation.
The role will establish and maintain contact and coordinate the delivery timetable with primary schools in Swansea. It will be the Delivery Officer’s role to prepare materials for the workshops, ensure appropriate funder paperwork is completed, keep accurate records of all events and demonstrate that progress is made by participants towards achieving the overall project targets. The Delivery Officer will also be required review and update materials. The duration of this role is 4 months.
