The School of Journalism, Media and Communication is seeking applicants who can play a key role in advancing the School’s competitive position in research and teaching excellence and who can also demonstrate effective management in a leadership role. The post holder will make a key contribution to the further development of our research excellence by building on and developing our current interdisciplinary research strengths in media freedom and civil society; digital media, AI and journalism; political communication; mis/disinformation; media, conflict and peacebuilding; media law and policy; and media and gender, working with or alongside our 3 research centres and networks.
We are seeking candidates who have a PhD in a relevant subject area and can evidence sustained and continuing research performance through high-quality, internationally excellent research outputs. You will have a proven ability to design and deliver high quality, research-led teaching programmes to ensure effective learning.
You will have a proven ability to secure competitive external funding for research as a principal or co-investigator, manage research projects and deliver on research grants, in line with disciplinary norms.
