The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing. 

We are looking to welcome a new member to our team, with a research assistant position available to work on the mechanisms that underpin successful responses to vaccination. 

The successful applicant will participate in a new BBSRC funded research project on the biology of the germinal centre responses, particularly understanding the role of B cell - macrophage interactions for the adaption to virus escape, memory, and immune tolerance. 

This work is part of a successful BBSRC project and builds on previous published work from our laboratory: https://www.babraham.ac.uk/our-research/immunology/kai-michael-toellner/publications 

We are looking for a candidate with interest in working on antibody responses in vivo to fulfil this exciting opportunity. The project will use a wide variety of cellular and molecular immunology techniques. The successful candidate will hold Bsc and/or Masters in a Biological/Immunological speciality. We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates who have experience in tissue imaging (two- photon intravital imaging, immunohistology, or whole tissue clearing), flow cytometry, ELISA and gene expression analysis. We do not expect an individual candidate to be proficient in all of these in order to be appointable. 

This is a limited term appointment with funding for this post available for a period of 3 years in first instance.
