The School of Medicine wishes to appoint two Associate Lecturers in Evidence Synthesis to join the MBBS team. 

The post holders will be responsible for supporting the planning and day to day delivery of one of the MBBS Year 5 teaching blocks focused on Evidence Synthesis research skills. The post holders will contribute to teaching and will also work on the BEST guideline and review production unit’s extensive portfolio of evidence synthesis research projects, including international and national guidelines, systematic reviews, and other related projects, as well as contributing to the group’s grant and funding applications for areas of clinical research interest.

The successful candidates must have completed a PhD or be in the process of completing. They will have an understanding of evidence synthesis, a range of review traditions, and associated methods, and evidence of contribution to a range of stages in evidence synthesis research projects. Experience of teaching; both large group and small group facilitation is essential; as is experience of working within or in collaboration with NHS clinicians.

The post holders will work mainly at the UCLan Burnley campus, but some attendance at Preston campus may also be required.
