The opportunity:
A unique opportunity for experienced counsellors/psychotherapists looking for a varied role including clinical management, clinical practice, placement support, core teaching and research. You will be part of the clinical management team at Hope Park Counselling Centre, a vibrant counselling centre contributing daily to delivering the service, supporting both the development of Hope Park and students on placement. This post is for a qualified experienced practitioner who is committed to the dialogue between psychodynamic perspectives and the person-centred approach which is Edinburgh’s core orientation. Teaching, academic assessment and Masters dissertation supervision will provide opportunities to develop teaching practice in addition to clinical lead skills. The post-holder will also make a contribution to the strategic development of scholarship, research, knowledge exchange and impact within Counselling, Psychotherapy and Applied Social Sciences, the wider School and the University. See Job Description below for more detail.
These three new posts have been created to increase staffing for HPCC. You will provide clinical cover during the centre’s operational times including daytime and evenings. You will be required to be on campus during your designated working hours which will include a minimum of one evening per week. We are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
