About the role

A position for a Tissue Collection and Processing Technician is available to coordinate and support projects requiring collection, transport and processing of samples. These samples will be from patients enrolled into cancer immunotherapy clinical trials and/or observational studies at collaborating London Hospitals, including but not exclusive to, the University College Hospital, Royal Marsden Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and Guy’s Hospital. Cancer Immunotherapy harnesses the immune system to specifically target cancerous cells.

About you

You must have a BSc in a biological or biomedical subject (at least 2:1) or equivalent experience. It is desirable if you have a masters degree in a biological or biomedical subject. It is essential you have Human Tissue Act (HTA) training and Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training or working knowledge of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).

It is desirable that you have knowledge of safety regarding liquid nitrogen use . It is essential that you have knowledge of maintaining laboratory stocks and carrying out general lab duties.
