The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Research Assistant (Social Science).
The Opportunity:
This post offers the opportunity to work on an exciting new initiative using data driven approaches to embed real-time research within the Intensive Care environment.
You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with academics, clinicians, information governance teams, patient and public engagement groups, and industry partners. You will help to inform the design of systems and interfaces to feedback information to clinicians. Using longitudinal qualitative research, you will provide insights into stakeholder needs, using theoretically-informed analysis to evaluate data-driven approaches in critical care.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evidence base for management of critically ill patients by conducting innovative qualitative research at the interface between data science and medical research. We would enthusiastically welcome applicants who wish to embed a PhD within this post.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr Annemarie Docherty, Wellcome CDA Fellow (annemarie.docherty@ed.ac.uk).
