About this role:
The Student Data and Systems (SDS) service supports learning and teaching at UWE and helps enhance the student experience.
The SDS community works together to join up our various business and system areas so that we do not work in siloes but contribute to a “Team UWE” approach to stewarding our student data and systems. We are seeking an SDS Technical Lead to join our team of technical leads. This is an exciting role where you will have an opportunity to support the apprenticeship student experience, help UWE remain compliant and help deliver efficient business processes.
You will work closely with the Apprenticeship Hub team and our colleagues in Colleges and Schools, taking the lead for stewarding our apprenticeship system (Aptem) and ensuring a continuous improvement agenda is delivered. You will lead on system configuration and reporting requirements, and will work with the wider SDS team and IT technical staff to help us integrate our data and systems more effectively.
About you:
Experience of delivering a data or systems management service in a complex organisation is key along with a strong ability to provide information stewardship and management of systems configuration, prioritising activities to ensure deadlines are met and that service enhancement is at the core of everything you do. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering a service that contributes to an excellent student experience. Using your strong analytical and solution-focused skills, you will be exploring ways in which you can contribute to the wider data governance agenda and support the apprenticeship provision.
