The Sussex Sustainability Research Programme (SSRP), Centre of Excellence, an exciting collaborative initiative by the University of Sussex and the Institute of Development Studies to develop interdisciplinary research in sustainability, is appointing a Research Support Coordinator
The Sussex Sustainability Research Programme provides “Science for the SDGs”. It involves researchers with many different areas of expertise, from natural sciences like ecology to social sciences and humanities such as pedagogy, law and anthropology. It catalyses and supports projects all around the world and in the UK that combine critical issues about the environment and human equity.
You will provide day-to-day operational, administrative, and financial support to the SSRP and the projects it funds, supporting a complex and growing programme of work. You will also liaise with researchers, partners and stakeholder groups and work alongside the Communications and Engagement Officer for the programme.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent people skills, you will be confident working with spreadsheets, automated administrative and finance systems, be meticulous and well organised, and able to work on your own initiative and within teams. If you are great at self managing a varied workload with competing priorities and you have an interest in or an understanding of research in the areas of sustainable development then this is the right role for you.
Please contact Sephora Imomoh (S.M.Imomoh@sussex.ac.uk), Senior Programme Manager for informal enquiries.
