Within the role of Deputy Head of Wellbeing and Disabilities we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced complex case manager to join our vibrant Wellbeing team, working alongside our Disabilities and Dyslexia team, within the Directorate of Student Support & Success. The department supports student retention, achievement, and satisfaction by providing a range of services to enhance student wellbeing and ensure that all students have access to a range of support appropriate to their needs. The Wellbeing team is comprised of services that deliver wellbeing advice and guidance, mental health and risk interventions and short-term counselling. Our services are effective, accessible, and tailored to the needs of our student community. The service makes a key contribution to the University’s mission to support all students, whatever their background, to reach their full potential.

As Deputy Head and Complex Case Manager, you will lead our team of Mental Health Advisers as an expert clinician responsible for the co-ordination and management of complex mental health student cases. You will lead on processes designed to manage risk and initiate safeguarding, crisis, and longer-term interventions for students with mental health diagnoses, many of whom are high risk. We are looking for someone who is passionate, motivated, and collaborative working highly effectively with a team. Working across the Wellbeing and Disabilities teams you will play a key role in bringing together the cross-over areas within these services, with a particular focus on developing support and risk management processes for students with complex mental health presentations.
