Role  

The purpose of the role is to contribute to teaching and support of students on the psychology program. The lecturer position includes preparation and delivery of lectures, seminars, and practical workshops; teaching of research methods, marking of assessments, project supervision and personal tutoring.

The Senior Lecturer position is the same as above, with the addition of developing innovative teaching content, setting assignments, module and programme leadership as well as an increased responsibility for research. The participation in divisional meetings and contribution to the strategic development of psychology, particularly in the realm of employability is a desirable aspect of the role. Administrative responsibilities and flexibility in undertaking varied duties as required.

Ideal Candidate

DMU Dubai is seeking an experienced academic in the subject of Psychology. You will have a PhD in Psychology or equivalent, alongside eligibility for chartered membership with the British Psychological Society. You will demonstrate recent teaching experience at the undergraduate level and expertise in teaching research methods. Proficiency in assessment setting is ideal and marking, alongside research experience, is essential. Additionally, the successful candidate will be adept at utilizing technology for enhanced learning and willing to contribute to student recruitment and university wide events. Appointment as a lecturer or senior lecturer will be determined based on experience and qualifications. We encourage applications from candidates with experience in the required areas of expertise; Cognitive Neuropsychology, Biological Psychology, Qualitative Research Methods in Psychology and Clinical Psychology.
