LSE is a leading social science institution, producing research with some of the greatest global impact. Our researchers are world-leading thinkers on critical issues. LSE 2030 will deliver a new strategic direction that will preserve and build on LSE’s status as a world leading social science university that educates brilliant minds and creates knowledge that can transform global societies for a global impact. LSE Research and Innovation (R&I) supports the delivery of LSE 2030 through Priority 2: Research for the World, which touches on every facet of research at LSE.

The Research and Innovation Systems Assistant sits within the Systems and Operations Team and works closely with the Research Governance and Culture Team, who have overall responsibility for the research ethics submission process, and members of the ARD Systems Team (ARDS) who oversee all Salesforce applications. They maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Research Ethics Submission System (RESS) and use both that and their knowledge of Salesforce to respond to service calls in the R&I systems service desk, provide user training, write and maintain systems documentation, and create list views, dashboards and reports. They also maintain the issues log and product backlog and work closely with ARDS to scope, schedule, test and deliver enhancements for the RESS annual enhancement and maintenance windows. They provide first-line support across all R&I systems including managing user access, delivering training, maintaining source tables and producing basic reports. They understand and are committed to delivering quality customer care and service, with the willingness and ability to follow administrative procedures to a high standard.
