The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is looking for an eager, motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our busy team on a fixed term basis until 31st July 25.
About the role
You will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager contributing to the smooth running of the Faculty finance function, ensuring that financial administration services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances.
You will act as a source of advice for staff with budgetary responsibility, responding to email enquiries, processing daily financial transactions on our Finance system Agresso, to include financial approval of staff and student expense claims within the Faculty, raising Purchase Orders and assisting with financial monitoring and other financial reporting.
This is a part-time position working 21.9 hours per week.
As the end of the University Financial Year is 31st July, annual leave may be restricted during the last week of July and first week of August.
About you
You will have excellent organisational, communication, customer relations and IT skills. You will be required to demonstrate a good use of initiative, work accurately and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a high workload.
