The role

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst (Technical) to help increase our automated software testing provision. The role holder will be central to enabling and delivering greater automated test coverage, earlier detection of defects, and faster delivery times through reliable, scalable, consistent, and robust scripts and frameworks. Mentoring and training will be provided by experienced Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET).

We are looking for: 

  • Foundation to intermediate programming level in Python or Java.
  • Hands-on experience in writing, maintaining, and executing test automation using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Creating scripts that have been designed to run across multiple platforms, devices, and browsers with minimum manual intervention.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively. We cannot test everything. We cannot automate everything we test. Knowing what to automate and how to automate it will be critical to success.
  • Focus on quality and scalability as well as the ability to troubleshoot and fix broken tests to ensure long term reliability of test results efficiently and effectively.
  • Determination, flexibility, and pragmatism. A focus on positively solving problems and finding solutions regardless of the challenge.
  • Strong stakeholder skills, a team player, with a desire to work collaboratively with others inside and outside the team.

Also desirable would be: 

  • ISTQB Test Foundation certification or equivalent professional experience
  • Degree level education or equivalent professional experience
  • Exposure to more than one of the following: Continuous Integration, Agile, Waterfall or DevOps
  • Experience with Test Management and agile project management platform such as Jira or GitLab
  • API test automation and TDD / BDD experience
  • Intermediate / proficient in programming (Python or Java)
