Applications are invited for a temporary part-time post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Celtic Civilisation within UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore.

Applications are invited for the above post in the UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore.

Candidates should have completed a PhD in Celtic Studies, Early Irish or a relevant discipline and have experience of teaching at university level.

The appointee will participate effectively in the School’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes and contribute significantly to the quality expansion of research in the relevant area. The appointee will undertake administrative tasks as designated by the Head of School, and play an active part in the life of the School.

Preference will be given to candidates with lecturing and research experience in the areas of Celtic Civilisation and Early Irish. Applicants who have experience in devising and coordinating Celtic Civilisation and Early Irish programmes/courses will also be given preference.

Tabharfar tosaíocht chomh maith d’iarrathóirí a bhfuil taithí acu ar dhearadh agus comhoiriúnacht clár/cúrsaí sa tSibhialtacht Cheilteach agus sa Luath-Ghaeilge.

95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €61,617 - €97,572 pro rata

95 Léachtóir/ Ollamh Cúnta (os cionn an bhaic) 2010 scála tuarastail: €61,617 - €97,572 pro

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
