Job Summary
This post is based at Imperial College, South Kensington Campus and is specifically to assist in carrying out experiments related to Professor Mohamed Shamji’s research focused on the investigation of immunological mechanisms of tolerance induction following AIT in allergic diseases.
The post-holder will provide technical support to Professor Mohamed Shamji’s group within Allergy and Clinical Immunology in the division of Inflammation, Repair & Development. The post-holder will be involved in multiple projects, including the main role in supporting a clinical trial running within the group (in collaboration with Professor Stephen Durham, Allergy and Clinical Immunology, NHLI). Experience in running biomarker assays in the context of allergy research, previous experience in aseptic technique and cell culture, flow cytometry staining would be advantageous. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential. Under the overall direction and supervision of the line manager, you will apply and extend your knowledge of relevant laboratory techniques. In addition to providing technical support, the duties include laboratory administrative responsibilities.
