Main duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for all administration associated with Research Degrees students, with specific responsibility for the administration of key aspects of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) programme, which will involve working closely with the Director of the programme and the academic programme team.
You will act as clerk to any designated meetings, assist with the development and implementation of administrative procedures for research students, assist will all matters relating to the admission, enrolment and student record keeping of research students, and specifically DClinPsy students.
Skills and experience needed
You will be highly motivated, proactive, flexible to requirements. Accuracy and attention to detail are key requirements within this role.
You may have relevant administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation, and experience of working in Higher Education administration is desirable.
Your application will evidence good IT skills and that you are numerate and literate. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer care with a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner. The ability to collect, process and present complex data is key. Tact and diplomacy, with the ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality is crucial.
You will be required to work flexibly and adaptably, being effective in a team setting, with a can-do attitude. You’ll have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, processes and institutional culture and to be proactive in promoting change.
Qualifications required
Education to A-level or equivalent education or proven professional work experience.
