The role
Temple Quarter is the location of the new University of Bristol campus.
This position is a once-in-a-career opportunity to mobilise operations within that campus.
Containing multiple buildings at various stages of construction, including the University’s flagship new building on Cattle Market Road, the campus is due to go fully ‘live’ in 2026.
Acting as the interface between construction & project management teams, Campus Operations staff, project boards and occupiers, the Head of Temple Quarter Operations will ensure that services are ready from day one, and expectations are met in relation to operation, maintenance and user experience of the campus.
What will you be doing?
Leading the ‘operationalisation’ of the new Temple Quarter campus. This will involve everything from writing new policies and procedures, to reviewing room data sheets and agreeing service levels. Ensuring operational teams have the information they require (including O&M’s, maintenance schedules and handover information), and building users understand their new campus, will be key requirements of the role.
You should apply if
You have extensive facilities management experience and feel as comfortable writing reports for boards as you do influencing and persuading senior stakeholders. You should have the experience to understand the strategic outcomes required whilst delivering detailed operational requirements.
You will be a completer-finisher with high standards and an eye for detail. You are a problem-solver with the interpersonal skills to work effectively across different stakeholder groups with competing demands. The role requires a candidate who can demonstrate pro-activity, resilience, self-confidence and credibility across a range of FM-related subjects.
Extensive experience of managing projects in large organisations and the ability to hit the ground running are key requirements of the role.
