Academic Officer

St Catherine’s, the newest and largest mixed undergraduate/graduate college in the University of Oxford, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join the friendly team in our Academic Office. Applicants should be flexible and keen to learn.

You will act as first point of contact for queries and help provide the administrative support required for the successful running of the academic activities of the College; including overseeing arrangements relating to Degree Ceremonies, coordinating timetables for student progress meetings, and working with academic staff to ensure reading lists are kept up to date.

With a keen eye for detail, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will also be enthusiastic, friendly and able to provide a customer-focused service. Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential.

The salary is set within the range £25,742 to £27,979 per annum, comprising 35 hours per week (including some hybrid working). In return, we offer a range of benefits including meals without charge whilst on duty, pension scheme, travel season ticket loans and free use of the College gym.
