About the Role:
We are looking for a permanent Senior Lecturer in Education to join a dedicated team across our successful Education suite of courses. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the education landscape and be able to contribute to the continued success of this subject area across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and innovative development and delivery of education related modules across the Department's portfolio and help ensure enhancement of the student experience and student employability.
The Senior Lecturer in Education role is a permanent FT position, and it is expected that this person will support the strategic direction of the University and Department and will be expected to lead by example within the TEF/REF/KEF environments.

Qualifications and Skills required:
The successful candidate will hold a relevant doctoral level qualification or be keen to complete further research activities, and will have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, or the ability to gain professional recognition at this or a higher level if appropriate. It is expected that the successful candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status, from an equivalent professional body (e.g., International or British equivalent).
Experience of designing and planning effective learning activities; developing learning environments and proven experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to engage in teaching and learning support in Higher Education in inspiring, engaging, and pioneering ways are essential for this post.

A teaching qualification would be advantageous, but not essential as full training and qualification in Higher Education teaching will be offered to the successful candidates.
