Applications are invited for a Senior Research Audiologist within the Hearing Health Theme of the NIHR Manchester BRC and the Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD).
You will manage a team of Research Audiologists and be responsible for allocating work across various research projects. This will require working closely with the Senior Hearing Health management team to keep up to date with current and future research projects and requirements. You will also take responsibility for the management of the hearing labs and research equipment in Ellen Wilkinson Building, at the Children’s Clinical Research Facility (CCRF) audiology booth and the research booth at Peter Mount Building, Manchester Royal Infirmary. This will include developing and implementing processes around health & safety in the labs, maintenance and calibration of equipment.
You will be expected to play a pivotal role in the planning and design of new research projects and grants, and to advise on audiological testing and staffing requirements in particular. The Senior Research Audiologist will be encouraged to develop their own research interests and initiate new projects to be undertaken by themselves and with the other research audiologists. Therefore, experience in managing research projects from conception to completion is required.
Although, mainly a management, coordinating role, you will also be required to assist in the data collection for projects if required.
