Do you have the ability to assess situations and respond efficiently to incidents? If you have good customer service and pastoral care skills when dealing with people, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to pass on information clearly, then you could be a great candidate for a Security Officer at the University of Kent, predominantly based at our Canterbury Campus.

As Security Officer you can expect to be involved in:
Undertaking security activities to contribute to the consistent delivery of a first-class security service provided by the University, in order to maintain a safe and secure environment, prevent crime and anti-social behaviour and keep students, staff, contractors and visitors safe from harm.
You will be required to work both day and night shifts on a rota basis, so flexibility is needed. This is a full-time role, with a rotating shift pattern which currently consists of Early Turn (07:00-17:00), Late Turn (17:00-01:00/03:00) and Night Duty (21:00-07:00) - 4 days working followed by 4 days non-working, enabling a good work-life balance. You will work days, lates and nights out of term time, during term time the role is late shift only.
