• Purchasing Officer – Grade 6 (£31,396 - £36,023)

The University of Salford Finance Division is responsible for the overall financial management of the institution and its subsidiaries. The division is made up of a team of 70 employees and provides a full range of financial services to the University, including: payroll, financial systems, management and financial accounting services and a travel office.  We operate a devolved system of planning and budgeting and the Finance team works closely with Academic Units and Professional Services to maximise opportunities and ensure financial sustainability.

Purchasing Officer

Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Officer the post holder will assist in the effective operation of the Procurement function of the University, providing support and input into the University Finance and Purchasing system. The post holder will carry out tenders, challenge processes, be proactive in engagement with the Schools and Directorates and provide sound Procurement advice.
