Location: Oxford, Hybrid
Salary: £25,138 to £28,759 per annum, pro-rata (Grade 4 of the University scale)
Hours: Part Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 17th May 2024
Closes: 10th June 2024

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and friendly administrator to join our supportive and close-knit Development and Communications team at Regent’s Park College in central Oxford. First and foremost, the successful applicant will be, or have the capacity and desire to be, a really good administrator. You’ll also need to be great with people and inspire confidence in those you interact with. You will enjoy managing and juggling a wide variety of different tasks at any one time, and take pride in ensuring that each piece of work is done efficiently, accurately and to deadline.

About the role:

The Development and Communications Assistant will provide proactive and efficient administrative support for the Development Office in all aspects of its fundraising, alumni relations and communications work. The successful applicant will be responsible for basic event, gift and office administration, for maintaining and improving the Development database, and for dealing with day to day enquiries and communications.

As part of the wider Development and Communications team, you will have the chance to work on a range of exciting projects including fundraising appeals, alumni events, and College communications. You will be essential in presenting a warm and friendly face to the College, promoting the importance of the Development Team’s fundraising and alumni relations work, and bringing joy and enthusiasm to all we do.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to work part-time (and remotely, if desired) in a productive, friendly office and for someone looking to make a real difference raising money to support our students, the research of our Fellows, and to maintain the supportive and close-knit College community that our alumni value and cherish.

What We Offer:

  • Great working environment: We are a friendly and supportive team, and place tremendous value on creating a positive, happy working environment. We enjoy working together, supporting and inspiring each other, and celebrating our successes as a team. We know that missing the mark is part of life and we learn from it.
  • Flexible hours that suit you: The post is offered on a 0.5 FTE basis, based on a 35-hour work week with flexibility in the number, arrangement and location of hours worked.
  • Remote-working (if desired): Remote working is possible for a significant part of the role (although with some time working in the office as we would like to see you in person as well!)
  • Friendly, warm College community: Regent’s Park College is a warm, welcoming and diverse community which people love to be a part of, to be involved in, and to support.
  • Free lunch: Lunch is available free of charge when on duty and the kitchens are open. You will also have access to free tea and coffee and the Senior Common Room facilities throughout the work day.
  • Generous pension and a health cash plan.
