Applications are invited for the position of Admissions and Data Services Administrator (International). The post sits in the Admissions and Data Services Team, which supports the 29 undergraduate Colleges in all aspects of the undergraduate application process (including the pre-application stage).  The team processes over 22,000 applications a year and takes a lead on key functions such as UCAS, My Cambridge Application, Subject Moderation, Admissions Assessments, the Winter, Summer and August Reconsideration Pools and processing the vast majority of applicant examination results.

The Admissions and Data Services Administrator (International) will support all aspects of the administration for undergraduate international applications and admissions. This will involve working with a variety of stakeholders across the admissions process including applicants, advisors and academics as well as colleagues within Student Admissions and Access and the Cambridge Colleges. As such, excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. Written communication will also be important for this role, as Secretary to the Overseas Qualifications Working Group.

A large part of the role will be ensuring our knowledge and understanding of international qualifications remain relevant, and that guidance about them is readily available and accessible. This will include working with applicant data to establish trends over time, so we are looking for someone with experience of working with large datasets and utilising the Microsoft IT suite, including Excel. You should also be able to digest and summarise detailed information with a specific audience in mind.

The Admissions and Data Services Administrator (International) must be able to:

  • prioritise work
  • plan logically to meet deadlines
  • maintain a high level of attention to detail.

The University is moving towards hybrid working with staff able to benefit from both working in the office and at home. Student Admissions and Access is based within the Student Services Centre on the New Museums Site in Central Cambridge. Staff are currently expected to be office-based for at least 30% of the time; this may increase in future.
