National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration Wessex (NIHR ARC Wessex)
NIHR ARC Wessex is a Department of Health and Social Care funded programme of research that provides high quality, implementation-based research to support decision makers in health and healthcare.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a small enthusiastic and cohesive team working flexibly to support the management of health and social care research. Working together with the senior management team you will provide support to the varied work of the ARC including responsibility of the Academic Career Programme.
We are looking for someone with experience of providing support to an Academic Career Development Programme with a Senior Management team to deliver the ARC contract. The postholder will need experience of working with multiple stakeholders across Wessex including those involved in research capacity development and research management.
An effective team player you will flexibly provide support to the ARC working with both senior colleagues, and external partners. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining close attention to detail and a calm and cheerful manner. You will have good organisational skills and an interest in supporting the development of health research and professionals in the UK.
The post is full time and will be based at the ARC Wessex offices (Southampton Science Park).
