Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
To work on our new CPU/GPU Satellite Modem project, funded by the European Space Agency, in collaboration with Global Invacom. In this project you will work with a team of researchers in the 6G Cognitive Networking Laboratory to research and develop a software DVB-S2X/DVB-RCS2 Satellite Modem based on Software Defined Radio technology.
Skills and experience required
The postholder will require an understanding of digital communications systems and have experience in Matlab, Linux, C/C++, and Python. Experience with DVB/Satellite modems, SDRs and radio transceivers is not required, but is desirable.
Qualifications required
Degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent level 6 qualification), or higher qualification in a relevant discipline is essential for this role. Holding a masters or equivalent level 7 qualification is desirable.
