We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Economics for someone with a passion in quantitative analysis looking to use their research skills in economics to make an impact on an ESRC funded research project on the drivers of local prosperity differences in the UK.
You will work in our academic department of Economics in collaboration with several team members across the three partner institutions, including the University of Sheffield, Aston University and the Resolution Foundation. As a research team we will analyse the role played by people, firms and places characteristics. Our work together will strengthen our strong international research profile and our reputation for novel, research-led teaching.
You will use your experience of carrying out high quality academic research to provide essential support to the research group analysing data to contribute towards the research project. As this role requires a PhD in Economics, Statistics or a closely related discipline, it provides an excellent opportunity to further develop related knowledge and research skills.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
You will be involved in a timely and policy-relevant project developing a quantitative analysis using micro-level data, at the intersection between urban, labour, and industrial economics.
