The textile industry faces a significant challenge due to the generation of large volumes of waste, usage of non-biodegradable materials that impose a substantial burden on the environment. This project aims to develop a sustainable evaluation method for the entire lifecycle of textiles and garments, from fiber production to end-use. Our focus will be on innovating bio-based materials and evaluating their performance and environmental impact relative to traditional materials. The student will conduct comprehensive assessments of textile and garment performance, as well as evaluate carbon and water footprints.
