The role:

The Learning Area of Business and Technology is seeking to appoint experienced, talented and highly motivated bank Lecturers to join its Computing and Technology department.

  • £16.62 - £32.71 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • You will have no fixed working hours, and will work on an ad hoc basis/provide sickness cover or temporary cover
  • You will be paid a month in arrears e.g. any hours that you work in May, will be paid in June, and so forth.
  • Tycoch & Gorseinon Campus.

About you:

With experience of teaching Computing/Information Technology in a post-16 setting, applicants should possess a relevant degree and hold/have a willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.

Applicants will have a commitment to continuous improvement, contribute to curriculum developments and assist with the effective planning within courses.  The ideal candidate will deliver high quality teaching and learning to include effective use of ILT, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential in terms of academic, social and personal development.

A clear and confident communicator, with effective organisational skills and the ability to work as part of successful subject teams contributing to the achievement of overall targets for successful retention and completion. The successful candidate will deliver on BTEC Levels 1 & 2 in Information Technology, BTEC Level 3 Computing and the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate is highly desirable.
