(Postdoctoral) Research Assistant in Catching & Vision

Grade 7 Salary: £27,854 - £30,424 per annum

Fixed-term post – 3 years, full-time

Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) and project team, you will be expected to contribute to the development and piloting of experimental protocols for testing of how vision is used when catching fast moving balls and for performing other sport-related interceptive tasks.

Once the protocols have been finalised, duties will then switch to data collection and analysis so that data collection and analyses for the BBSRC funded project “Linking Perception to Action in Sport: Does superior visual perception explain why good players make it look easy?” is completed. 

The post will involve periods working at the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences in Liverpool. In conjunction with the PI and project team, you will be expected to present findings at national and international conferences and be responsible for preparing ‘first drafts’ of research output documents.

You will have a PhD in a relevant subject area or be working towards a PhD in a relevant subject area.

This position is based in Bradford.
