The role:
The role holder will oversee the Admissions and Future Students functions of two divisions, Kaplan Holborn College (undergraduate/postgraduate students) and Kaplan Financial (professional qualifications full time students).
A key focus of this role will be the development of admissions policy and strategy, the identification and implementation of new business processes and systems to achieve effective working, as well as key performance indicators and target management. In addition there will be a strong focus on change management and the ability to lead change is key, alongside the ability to performance manage individuals and teams to achieve results. The role holder will take on the responsibility of meeting the needs of a number of internal and external partners and stakeholders which include government agencies, internal senior management and partner teaching institutions.

- Accountability and management of the operations delivered by the Admissions and Future Students team
- Development and implementation of admissions and future student’s policy gaining agreement and approval from relevant stakeholders with the aim of increasing intake numbers as part of a documented long term strategy
- To engage with relevant academic, operational, IT, and senior management to ensure the Admissions and Future Students team meet the needs of the business and its users (prospect students/applicants) at all times
- To develop a highly motivated department that embraces change and innovation, meets challenging targets and puts the needs of the customer at the forefront of their duties.
- Line Management of the Deputy Admissions and Future Students Manager, ensuring clear guidance on targets and objectives.
Sample essential skills and experience (please refer to the full job description for the complete list)
- Extensive experience working within the UK Higher Education sector
- Demonstrable track record of developing admissions policy within the UK Higher Education framework and familiarity with UK professional qualification frameworks
- Thorough understanding of student conversion models and best practise with a demonstrable track record of implementing these
- Knowledge of the key factors affecting International, UK and EU student recruitment within the UK
- Extensive knowledge of UK and International qualification frameworks
- Detailed Knowledge of UK/EU/International student funding
- Established track record of developing and developing key performance measurements high achieving teams
- Experienced line manager
- Experience of regular reporting via presentations to senior management
- Experience of leading change within an organisation
