Associate Professor in English Language

A position as Associate Professor is vacant at the English Programme, Department of Culture and Identity (CUID).

Responsibility
The successful applicant will teach and supervise in the English master programme as well as in Roskilde University's bachelor programmes. A broad teaching competence in English language is required, including grammar and Danish-English as well as English-Danish translation.

The applicant's research qualifications must be within English language. A specialization in qualitative sociolinguistics and English as a lingua franca is wanted. The applicant is expected to be part of the research group LangSoc. The applicant must be able to document scholarly research at an international level. The position involves administrative functions. e.g. as Director of Studies.

Appointment
The appointment will be made according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish central academic organization (AC). The position is to be filled by 1 September 2013.
