Job overview: This role provides second-line IT and AV support in a multi-platform environment with 400 staff and 1000 student computers. The role involves responding to support calls logged by staff and students, diagnosing and resolving faults, and communicating with the users. It involves supporting staff with AV/presentation equipment and other classroom based learning technologies. The role also involves ordering, delivering and installing PCs, laptops, and printers, configuring hardware and software, and maintaining network print queues and file storage areas.
Key selection criteria: This role requires excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems in a networked environment, and benefits from experience with Mac and Linux systems. You must be able to diagnose and resolve application and system problems and have excellent customer service in classrooms, PC labs, and staff offices. You must be work well as part of a team, collaborating with others to find solutions and resolve problems.
Salary band: £24,049 - £27,047
