Department Administrator (1.0 FTE)

University of Roehampton -Department of Academic Registry

HR Ref No: HR 75/13

Salary: £24,783 to £28,165 pa inc.

The Academic Department is the primary unit for the delivery of programmes of study and the development of research and enterprise activity. Administrative support for academic departments is provided by local teams, each led by a Department Officer, with further support given by a centrally-located administrative team. The local and central administration is managed together by an Assistant Registrar. Administrators assigned to academic departments provide a front-line service for students and staff. By providing support across all academic departments, the central administrative team promotes common working practices and effective collaboration, and works to improve processes and systems. Staff will spend the majority of their time working in one location: either a department or the central team. However, all staff may be called upon to provide support and cover wherever it is needed, and this may involve moving to a different department on a temporary or longer-term basis.

We are seeking applications for the post of Department Administrator from candidates with previous programme administration experience preferably at an HE institution in the UK.

As this role is based in the Department of Psychology we would also welcome applications from individuals with experience of supporting administering counselling/psychotherapy programmes at postgraduate level, or an interest in this subject area.
