Are you looking to develop your business development career with a business engagement role at a prestigious organisation?

The University of Birmingham already has an economic impact on the UK of more than £1billion a year, but there is more to do.

We are now investing in the Business Engagement team and are looking for talented individuals to take our already successful business partnerships to the next level whilst identifying and growing new opportunities that will have a real impact on the University and on business.

We are looking for ambitious and committed individuals who are passionate about the impact that is possible through collaborations between business and universities.

We take seriously our responsibility as a partner in the economic development of the region and the UK and are seeking others who do too.

So, if you are target-driven and enthusiastic about working as the interface between business and the University to build long-term mutually beneficial relationships which provide both parties with access to amazing research opportunities, student placements, high quality facilities and equipment, and much more, this is the role for you.

College Business Engagement Partners will be embedded in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Life and Environmental Sciences or Social Sciences (which includes the Birmingham Business School).  They will be responsible for working with the Head of College and senior academics to develop and implement a business engagement strategy.

Working with other Business Engagement Partners, you will be responsible for raising significant levels of income for the College and maximising the potential for business and commercialisation opportunities to impact across the University.

Based on the campus, you’ll enjoy the benefits of occasional international travel, the USS pension scheme, excellent sporting and cultural facilities and a generous holiday allowance. The University is situated on a beautiful 250 acre parkland campus with excellent transport links including our own rail station; by train we are around 1 hr 45 from London and around 2 hrs from Manchester.
