The appointment will be on UCL Grade CL7. The salary range will be £34,562 - £43,038 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The Centre for Sexual Health and HIV Research in the Research Department of Infection and Population Health has a clinical research programme covering a range of studies from observational cohort studies to interventional trials for HIV infection and other sexually transmitted infections and viral hepatitis. We are seeking to appoint a clinician to act as a clinical trials physician and member of the clinical research group. They will work on a range of trials and have the opportunity to develop their own research project within the Centre's portfolio.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the broader academic mission of the Research Department including teaching commitments. The post is suitable for a specialty trainee, or someone wishing to specialise in GUM/HIV or Infectious Disease. The post will be situated at the Mortimer Market Centre, Bloomsbury Campus.
The post is to undertake specific maternity leave cover the duration of which is dependent upon completion of the cover, return of the post-holder or cessation of the funding, whichever is sooner. The post is available immediately and in the first instance the cover is estimated to be until February 2017.
Applicants must be registered with the GMC with license to practice. Clinical experience of GUM/HIV or infectious diseases and experience of managing patients with HIV infection are essential. A Masters/PhD/MD qualification and experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level is desirable.
