This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to take command of a new start up digital business, with the backing and expertise of a successful and established 100 person strong team.
The Lead Agency, a digital performance marketing agency with offices in Liverpool, London, Kiev and soon New York are expanding into new verticals. The business has focused on automotive clients for 14 years and works with over 20 of the leading global car manufacturers. It is consistently rated as the UKs leading performance marketing company within this space. The time has come to diversify into other markets in order to grow the business further and we are now exploring opportunities within the higher education vertical.
A new website, focused on providing a research tool for prospective students has just been launched (www.thestudynetwork.com) and a team are being established to service this new product. We are looking for an experienced strategist and leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long term goals. An entrepreneurial, ambitious, highly driven and determined individual to head up this area of the business.
The job will involve all that you would expect from running a new tech based startup – you will be performing multiple roles, building industry relationships, formulating strategy, driving sales and product development. From the start, you will have experienced designers, developers, digital marketing and sales professionals at your disposal along with the support of the company directors, HR, finance and other support teams. The responsibility for building the channel will be yours and you will be expected to dedicate significant time and energy into this role. The role will be based at our Liverpool headquarters however you will need to travel within the UK regularly for client meetings.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with a high level sales background with significant experience of selling digital services into major companies. You will be adept at developing strong client relationships and be able to provide evidence of your success with closing major deals.
You will have a detailed understanding and passion for the digital world gained through experience working with digital marketing and development teams.
You will have a strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
You will be extremely commercially astute with demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
Any experience within the performance marketing or higher education industry would be advantageous.
You will need to be highly ambitious and determined, able to take the knocks you will likely face as you try to build a business. There will be a significant management and leadership element to the role so you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and have relevant experience. You will need to show your ability to be consultative, working to get the best from your digital team, embracing and exploring their ideas as well as your own.
