There could not be a more exciting time to join the Equalities Team at the University of Leicester. We lead on a number of national and international projects and engage with our staff and students to ensure a culture of equality and inclusion.

As a Stonewall Champion, we are making progress in the Workplace Equality Index and are thoroughly committed to progress our gender and race equality activities achieving further success through the Athena SWAN and race equality charters and fulfilling our commitments to all other protected characteristics. We are seeking a Head of Equality and Diversity who will provide direction and ensure progression of our strategic equality and diversity commitments. Passionate about driving forward change in higher education you will facilitate a range of institutional projects and ensure that they support our approach to equality and diversity with the objective of creating and embedding a ‘Culture of Equality’.
You will have the experience, enthusiasm and drive to move forward Equality, Diversity and inclusion activity across our university and be experienced in leading teams and managing multiple projects. You will be an excellent communicator with an ability to work with colleagues, students and stakeholders at all levels, providing advice and support to all groups including the University leadership team. You will have an understanding of and passion for equalities and evidence of the ability to champion and influence change in the advancement of equalities.
