We are seeking candidates who will join the department of international business & management and contribute to the teaching and research of the department, specifically in the areas of business law and/or corporate governance.

As a key component of UNNC and as an independent faculty of business within the university, NUBS China is also an integral part of the Nottingham University Business School awarding the same internationally recognized degrees offered by the University of Nottingham in the UK. In operation for just over 10 years, NUBS China currently has approximately 2,800 students of which about 400 are enrolled in postgraduate programmes including a Ph.D. programme. It has a rapidly expanding international faculty of about 90, all based in Ningbo China and coming from 27 countries or so. The school is EQUIS accredited and is part of a university that is highly rated and is seeking to improve further its ranking among the worlds top research and teaching universities. Since 2011, NUBS China has rapidly progressed towards an increasing focus on high impact research, customized executive education, and high quality teaching.

Candidates must have a PhD or be very close to completion of his/her PhD in a relevant discipline. Excellent English communication skills are essential together with strong teaching abilities. Candidates are also expected to have demonstrated an ability to conduct high-quality research. NUBS China provides a competitive research support package for candidates showing good research output. 

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver lectures and seminars across all years of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; and to supervise undergraduate, masters and potentially doctoral dissertations. We are seeking candidates who can contribute to our teaching in the areas of business law (several undergraduate modules) and/or corporate governance (modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels). Further experience of teaching in the areas of management or strategy would be a plus. In addition, there are excellent opportunities for research, and the person appointed will be expected to develop their own research activities and to contribute to the research activities of the School. 

Salary will be within the range of 34,576 - 46,414 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments. 

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham,Ningbo, China for a period of up to 5 years starting 1 September 2017(or possibly 1February 2017). This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
