Fixed term contract for 2 years

50% FTE, 18.25 working hours per week

Dr Freya Harrison is looking for a research technician to work on projects related to chronic bacterial infection and the testing of natural materials for antimicrobial activity. The candidate needs to have prior practical experience in microbiology and some standard lab techniques for working with microbes and animal tissue, although full training will be given in new techniques. The successful candidate is expected to be an active participant in a new and growing research group, so a record of successful time and project management is essential.

The candidate will be based at the Gibbet Hill Campus of the School of Life Sciences.
