PhD in IT Security

A total of £15,000 research grant is available to part sponsor and contribute towards tuition fees of a successful PhD student.

Intelligent Systems Research Centre is aiming to recruit a PhD student in IT/cyber security (identity resolution, penetration testing automation, IoT, cryptography, steganography,). Home/EU and international students can apply, but will need to pay the remainder of the tuition fees. Full-time and part-time applicants are both considered.

The applicant is also responsible for her/his cost of living.

Applicants should hold a First Class Honours or a Master degree in a discipline relevant to the area of study. 

To apply, please write a five page research proposal with five to 10 references, complete the MPhil-PhD application form, read research guideline on ‘IT Security’, complete the MPhil-PhD referee form, and consider the research degree fee structure guideline from the University’s webpage.
