We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the UWE HR department as an HR Advisor. This role sits within the HR Advice Hub Team and are part of a large and busy HR Department which is consistently recognised for the quality of our work by The Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards and the Universities HR Awards. We have a reputation for providing excellent support across all the University’s faculties and professional services departments.

The HR Advice Hub is responsible for the provision of an HR service offering specialist advice, policy development and change management support across the university. You will deliver a professional HR service covering all aspects of generalist HR including employment law, training design and delivery, resourcing expertise, and independently managing complex employee relations matters. You will need to have extensive experience gained in a generalist HR environment, some of which should have been gained in a large complex organisation. You'll be comfortable working within a policy and procedural framework, giving best practice advice within legal and business focus and pragmatically finding appropriate resolutions. You will need to demonstrate an ability to work in a busy environment and to have dealt with complex HR matters.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give our students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m being spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020 to enhance our offer even further. Frenchay campus is within close proximity to excellent motorway links and within walking distance of two train stations, making UWE Frenchay Campus the ideal place to work for those wishing to commute to Bristol.
