Innovation and integration in UK social and healthcare providers
An opportunity exists for an outstanding postgraduate to become involved in research on integrated health and social care organisations. The successful candidate for this fully funded 3-year PhD studentship will be based at the University of Essex Business School and will work closely with Dr Martin Harris and Professor Nigel South investigating emerging new organisational forms in a number of social/healthcare organisations in mid-Essex. Commencing in January 2017, the scholarship offers excellent training in both social science and applied organisational research.
Applications are invited from those who hold or expect to obtain, a Master’s degree in management, organisational studies or related social science disciplines, e.g. sociology or public administration. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, independent and creative individual with excellent communication skills who is committed to working in health and social care settings. The successful applicant will be familiar with both qualitative research designs and semi-structured interview techniques.
