About Anglia Ruskin University:
Our vibrant, modern University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and we have ambitious plans for our future. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investments. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.
About the role:
The Research and Innovation Development Office provides a focal point to support the planned significant increase in our annual research and external income. Working as a key member within the Enterprise and Innovation (E&I) Team on Chelmsford’s Rivermead campus, you’ll be building and developing relationships with key stakeholders and partners. As well as supporting the E&I Team in delivering key strategic and operational objectives, you’ll promote and enhance the reputation and profile of the Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) Sector Strategy by developing and managing a portfolio of creative tools and marketing materials.
With a degree or relevant professional qualification, you’ll have substantial experience in complex and fast moving environments where customer focus is paramount. You’ll have a strong commercial background and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to work as part of a team is vital, however you’ll also need to demonstrate capability to work alone on allocated projects.
You’ll be commercially minded, a creative fast learner with strong customer focus and the passion to enhance and promote the ARU Sector Strategy and its activities. You’ll have highly developed presentation, interpersonal and organisational skills and have proven expertise of effectively managing customer relationships with experience of working on operational projects and the ability to work on your own initiative. You’ll also be highly IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office support packages.
The role will primarily be based in Chelmsford working 37 hours per week – normally Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, though there will be a requirement to travel to other locations, weekend and evening work may be required occasionally.
