Applications are invited for the post of Research Grants Administrator to assist with all account activities within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care.
The post holder will provide administrative and clerical support to senior colleagues in applying for the research funding through every stage of the process, from initial enquiry through to final financial reporting and billing and will have responsibility for particular groups within the department.
S/he will produce some financial management reports as necessary for both internal and external purposes, and will disseminate funding and other relevant information to the Department.
Applicants should have a good general education, to include GCSE English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications or experience. The post-holder must possess excellent IT skills, to include the use of Microsoft Office programmes (word, Access and Excel) with particular emphasis in Excel. They should have good interpersonal and communication skills, and a flexible and positive attitude. Administrative and/or finance experience is essential.
Knowledge of research grants and experience of University Financial System (UFS) would be highly desirable as will any management accounts experience.
This position is full-time.
