You will be an experienced developer who will quickly integrate themselves within the team and assume the responsibility for the development and support of the key University identity management application.
As part of our exciting Digital Strategy you would also be responsible for developing new administrative focused applications to meet a new service requirement or support and develop new functionality for existing services. These could include both in-house and procured applications, interacting regularly with these external suppliers.
Teams within Corporate Information Systems deliver a suite of systems which support the learning, teaching, research and administrative activities of the University. We work in a new purpose-built computer centre and have a strong focus on innovation and staff development.
You will possess the necessary skills, including technical, interpersonal and documentation skills, to succeed in developing and maintaining applications in a complex and demanding environment. A key requirement is the understanding and experience of SQL Server development coupled with application development using the Microsoft .NET platform.
Educated to degree level in an IT related subject and with experience of interpreting and developing innovative and effective technical solutions, you will have the ability to work to deadlines both as part of a team but mainly through delegated authority to achieve self-defined goals and deadlines.
