We are seeking an experienced IT professional to take on the role of IT Manager for the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR) and the Acute Vascular Imaging Centre (AVIC) at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
OCMR and AVIC are internationally unique research centres for clinical cardiovascular and neuro-research and you will be required to manage and develop the provision of IT facilities and infrastructure held in both centres which have complex medical imaging archives and analysis systems linking to other University and NHS networks. You will be responsible for systems and project management, systems integration and the supervision and development of the OCMR IT assistant.
You will hold a first degree in computing or computer networking. Experience of server administration and backup strategy for large datasets is essential, as are excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the IT requirements in a multidisciplinary research environment would be advantageous.
This full time appointment is fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance and available immediately.
