Lecturer in Project Management

University of the West of Scotland - School of Science and Sport

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Project Management to join the academic team within the School of Science and Sport, at the UWS Paisley Campus.

We are looking for engaged and talented individuals to make a real impact on the local, national and international communities we serve. This post is therefore part of a major investment in new talent and excellence to support our growth plans.

The School of Science & Sport is a multidisciplinary school, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Paisley, Hamilton, Ayr and London campuses with a combined total of circa 1600 students. Teaching and Research are at the heart of all of the School’s activities; NSS teaching scores are at 100% in some of our Undergraduate programmes, and we are looking to build and diversify from the success of REF2014.

You will be a highly motivated individual, an innovative educator with a global outlook, passionate about your discipline and dedicated to delivering the best possible student experience. You will help to expand our commercial and / or research activities, and will exhibit an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset to enhance the impact of your work. The successful applicant will join a small but progressive team of individuals in delivery and development of Project Management within the School. With a PhD in Project Management or a related discipline, you will help the team grow the programme internationally, delivering excellence in the field.

The teaching provision is centred on MSc Project Management (and Quality Management) within the School of Science and Sport, which is one of our most popular programmes at Masters level.

The programme is delivered at both our Paisley and London campuses, franchised internationally and delivered online. Willingness to travel is an essential aspect of this post both within the UK and internationally. You will be based at our Paisley Campus with some scheduled activities at our other campus locations and overseas.

The University of the West of Scotland is committed to supporting your personal development and providing an inclusive working environment. UWS has an Athena SWAN bronze award, is a two-ticks employer and welcomes other under-represented groups, as such we particularly encourage applications to support our diversity agenda.
